A qualified husband-and-wife team helping Isle of Wight homeowners understand their homes.
Island Energy Solutions is a husband-and-wife business providing professional domestic EPCs, Retrofit Assessments, heat loss surveys and home energy advice across the Isle of Wight.
Both Laurence and Justine are qualified Domestic Energy Assessors. We have simply chosen to divide the day-to-day responsibilities of the business, with Laurence primarily carrying out property assessments while Justine manages bookings, administration and customer enquiries.
We also help homeowners understand whether they may be elegible for government funding towards home energy improvements and work in partnership with a PAS 2030-certified installer operating on the Isle of Wight.
This means that when you contact Island Energy Solutions, you’re dealing directly with the people behind the business — from your initial enquiry and booking through to your assessment.

Laurence is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and our primary assessor, carrying out professional EPC assessments for homeowners and landlords across the Isle of Wight.
Laurence is accredited with ECMK, enabling him to carry out domestic EPC assessments and lodge certificates through the appropriate accreditation process.
During an assessment, Laurence looks at the individual characteristics of the property, including its construction, insulation, windows, heating and hot water systems and lighting.
Every property is assessed individually, whether it’s a traditional Isle of Wight cottage, Victorian terrace, bungalow, modern development or coastal home.

Justine is also a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, although her role within Island Energy Solutions is primarily focused on bookings, administration and customer enquiries.
Justine manages the customer journey from the initial enquiry through to arranging appointments and keeping customers informed.
As a qualified assessor herself, Justine also understands the technical side of domestic energy assessment and the requirements involved in carrying out an EPC.
As a husband-and-wife team, we work closely together to provide a straightforward and professional service for our customers.

Both Laurence and Justine are qualified Domestic Energy Assessors.
Laurence is an ECMK-accredited Domestic Energy Assessor and carries out the majority of our domestic EPC assessments.
Our EPCs are lodged on the government’s official EPC register following completion of the assessment.
We believe customers should be able to see clearly who is carrying out their assessment and understand the qualifications and accreditation behind the service.

Our work goes beyond providing Energy Performance Certificates. We help Isle of Wight homeowners understand how their homes use energy and what improvements could potentially make them more energy efficient.
As qualified Retrofit Assessors, we can carry out Retrofit Assessments and heat loss surveys to help establish how a property performs and what improvements may be appropriate.
We also help homeowners explore government grant funding for eligible home energy improvements. Depending on the property and the requirements of the relevant scheme, improvements can include measure such as air source heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage.
Our role is to assess the property, identify suitable opportunities and help homeowners understand the options available to them. Where installation work is required, we work in partnership with a PAS 2030 certified installer operating on the Isle of Wight.
